Biomolecule immobilisation

With our Molecular Plasma™ technology, we are able to immobilize a wide range of bio-molecules such as anti-bodies, DNA, proteins, peptides, etc. onto any substrate whilst keeping full bio-functionality.

In particular, we have shown that we can immobilize goat-origin IgG anti-human IgE antibodies in less than 10 seconds, which is 10.000 X faster than the current industry-standard wet-chemical process.  The University of Leuven (Belgium) using ELISA testing has verified maintenance of full bio-functionality.

Controlled release functionalities

Our Leaf™ technology is a tunable, nano-structured plasmapolymer that ensures silicone-free release properties on any substrate.  The release properties remain intact even after stretching of the substrate up to a factor of 10 X.

Superhydrophobicity – Hydrophilicity

Our Leaf™ technology is a tunable, nano-structured plasmapolymer that allows us to create any contact angle up to 170°.  We can switch from superhydrophobic surface properties to hydrophilic surface properties, simply by changing the process. This can be of particular interest to the microfluidics industry.
